In order to better promote the transformation, upgrading, and innovative development of the national foundry industry, guide and promote the development of the foundry industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green directions, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the China Foundry Association held the "First Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum" in Ningxia in September 2016, and has held it annually since then. Each forum has built a high-quality communication and docking platform for the casting industry and upstream and downstream parties, playing an important role in accelerating the transformation of new and old driving forces in the casting industry and strengthening the coordinated development between the casting industry and upstream and downstream industries.
On September 24-26, 2024, the 9th Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum was successfully held in Wuhan. With a three-day program, the main forum focused on the theme of "Innovation, Intelligence, and Green" and five parallel sub forums were held successively. Multiple customized enterprise frontline visit and inspection routes were alternated, 41 professional report sharing sessions were held, and nearly a thousand foundry colleagues attended. They eagerly gathered and exchanged ideas, hurried steps, and frequently raised cameras In the golden September of autumn, a new force is brewing, stirring, and spraying out in the city of Wuhan, further consolidating the development foundation of the foundry industry and promoting China's foundry industry from large to strong.
Casting is an indispensable process in the equipment manufacturing industry, providing solid support and fundamental guarantee for the innovative development of numerous host products and high-end equipment. It is related to the safety and stability of the equipment manufacturing industry supply chain, and is highly valued by the leaders of the Party and the country. Currently, China's manufacturing industry has entered a stage of high-quality development. The rapid development and transformation upgrading of key fields such as aerospace, automobiles, rail transit, energy, ships, engineering machinery, and agricultural machinery have accelerated the trend of high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing, and also put forward higher requirements for the foundry industry.
On September 25th, the 9th Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum kicked off with widespread attention and enthusiastic participation from colleagues in the foundry industry. At the opening ceremony of the forum, Zhang Libo, Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation and President of the China Foundry Association, Ai Jinqun, Second level Inspector of the Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and Miao Changxing, First level Inspector of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, delivered speeches successively, hoping that the foundry industry can promote industrial innovation through technological innovation, consolidate the foundation of high-quality development through industrial upgrading, and provide solid support for accelerating the construction of a new type of industrialization.
By awarding certificates and licenses to enterprises recognized under the "Standard Conditions for Foundry Enterprises", the 14th batch of credit rating evaluation enterprises, the standard evaluation enterprises for green manufacturing level in the foundry industry, and 25 practical training bases, we have better established a model for the development of the industry and continuously stimulated the enthusiasm and creativity of colleagues in the industry. At the forum, the launch of the "Industrial Mother Machine+" production and demand docking activity for millions of enterprises in the foundry industry has led and better promoted the continuous progress of the foundry industry towards high-quality development.
